“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

As iron sharpens iron, let's encourage each other on this journey of interrupted writing and faith.

Who We Are!

We're Christian writers who love the Lord, believe Jesus is the only Savior, and serve him whole heartily. We're men and women, learning from each other, and growing in our craft and Christian faith as we pursue publication.

We're parents, spouses, caregivers, and employees whose writing is interrupted by daily tasks.

Picture 005

We're learning to be content in this season God has called us to and honor him in everything we do.

If you feel you're a kindred spirit, then you're welcome to join our community!

Community Guidelines

"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." Philippians4:8 NAS

I want this community to be a safe place for us to share our faith and writing experiences. I don't want it to become just another place to promote ourselves. So I'm asking that we keep the community clean, focused, on topic, and free from mass emailing for self promotion. People who stray from these guidelines will be removed.

(And unfortunately I have no control over the Google Ads:)

Let Him In

Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)

You may not always hear God speaking to you like you hear a human, but He is speaking to you. Sometimes He uses a baseball bat and other times a whisper, but it's
always through your heart that He speaks. Let Him in.

Trust God

Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:4)

The Lord supplies all. We must trust beyond all, that He will provide. We must depend on His divine power only. When we endure in Christ, it is faith tried almost to the breaking point. Trust not man but God.

Time

If we don't have time to wait on God, then He has no reason to lead us into our destiny. If I truly want to do His will, I need to trust that when He asks me to wait, it is as much a step in the journey as each action I will take during other times of the journey.

I must not wait on the thing, however, that will exhaust me. I must wait on the Lord, then my strength will be renewed. (Beth Moore - Esther Bible Study)

Let God Part II

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. (Psalm 62:11)

Who will be there when I put down my human crutches, when I stop relying on myself? When I let go of human things and open myself up, I give God the opening He needs to do wondorous things in my life. So throw off the accroutements of human dependance and let God reveal His will for me.

Let God

Be not afraid, only believe. (Mark 5:36)

If God wills it, nothing stands before you to impede your path. Your faith and God's will break down any barriers to your unity with him. If you come across a barrier that seems insurmountable it is because God has willed it to be there and protect you from something that would be a mistake for you.

Believe and let God.

The Gift of Pain

Pain –
Physical, emotional, chronic –
Consumes, swallows, saps,
Drains.

Connecting, responding,
Reaching out
Requires more
Energy,
Effort,
Emotion,
Than the pain sometimes allows,
Leaving me separated, isolated,
Alone.

Words lie flat on printed pages –
Unclear,
Obscure,
Perplexing.
Thoughts drift, wander,
Swirl out of reach,
Refusing to make sense,
Take shape,
Opaque,
Leaving me wordless,
Isolated,
Alone.

Pain is difficult to define,
Describe, color,
Number, name,
A formless image,
A vapor, a… Continue

Thankfulness

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But THANKS be to GOD! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:56-58

Love One Another

This is his commandment... love one another, as he gave us commandment. (1 John 3:23)

Love one another, love everyone, even your enemy. Jesus is the teacher, Jesus is the example. For if we desire to be one in Christ, we must follow His example and love all. There is no room for one who does not love.

Love and recieve God's love, He is waiting for you.

It's a new day

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3: 22-23)
That sounds pretty good to me, starting every day with a clean slate. God isn't holding onto our list of mistakes, why should we. Don't fret and worry about the past, instead look to the future , strap on your shoes and set your feet on God's path. Today is a new day.

Cambrian Explosion

We are told that science supports the theory of evolution, that we began with micro-organisms, then progressed toward lowly animals which later, over trillions of years, formed birds, mammals, and man.

Yet when terrestrial strata and the fossil record are examined, it is to be seen that all living organisms appeared simultaneously. The oldest stratum of the earth in which fossils of living creatures have been found is that of the Cambrian, which has an estimated age (according to scientists) of… Continue

Every Day

We watch movies, tv shows, and read books where we get to experience many exciting and thrilling things in a short time span. When a crisis or major event takes place in our lives we generally have lots of supportive people around. While those crises and events are difficult to deal with, we often tap into some unknown (or known, holy) reserve to get through. We manage, we deal, and we pull through.

It's the every day that is often as, if not more challenging than those times. We don't experien… Continue
